Gerson Guimarães Junior, or Gerson is a defensive midfielder and central defender and plays for Atlético Madrid reserve team in Spain on loan from Botafogo.

He started in professional Botafogo in 2010.
The steering wheel Gerson, 18, was integrated into the team and has participated in activities with the group led by coach Joel Santana.
